Course Summary

This one-day course will review etiological factors, mechanism, clinical symptoms, and diagnostic methods as well as created by author treatment guidelines for the management inferior alveolar nerve injury during dental implant placement. It is designed specifically for the dentist practising implant dentistry, because he or she should recognise and exclude aetiological factors leading to nerve injury into his or her clinical practice. Proper pre-surgery planning, timely diagnosis and treatment are the key to avoid nerve sensory disturbances management. The course involves a combination of lectures and hands-on workshops. Upon completion of this course, you will be familiar with the risk factors, etiological factors leading to inferior alveolar nerve injury. You will receive guidelines which will illustrate the methods used to prevent and manage inferior alveolar nerve injury before or after dental implant placement. The course is approved by Lithuanian Dental Chamber. CE Credit – 8 hours.
