Course Summary This one-day course will focus on how to make sinus lifting operations. It is designed specifically for the dentists who wish to start more complex implant treatment plan. There will be introduced main advanced methods of sinus lifting operations. Will be discussed sinus anatomy, physiology and status diagnostic methods. The course involves a combination of lectures, live surgeries demonstrations and hands-on workshops. After completing this course you will be able to select the right method for sinus lifting operation type in particular case. You will be able to perform small invasive sinus floor augmentation procedures. It is very important to know possible complications and how to avoid them. The course is approved by Lithuanian Dental Chamber. CE Credit – 8 hours.

Anatomy of maxillary sinus (MS) and changes after teeth extraction MS function Blood supply of MS Indications for sinus augmentation Patient’s examination before sinus lifting operation Bone plastic materials indicated for sinus augmentation Radical sinus lifting operation methodology using lateral window approach Possible complications during operation description and how to avoid them Post op management Risks and benefits of operation Post op complications and their management Sinus lifting operation technique simultaneously with „onlay“ technique Sinus floor augmentation using „balloon“ technique Sinus floor augmentation using „osteotome“ technique Simultaneous implant placement and sinus floor augmentation using lateral window approach technique Risks and benefits of operation Post op complication and their management Introduction and discussion of clinical cases Presentation and discussions of particular clinical cases before operation Live demonstration of dental implant surgical insertion operation in operating room
